The BLM's FY26 Fuels Management and Community Fire Assistance opportunity supports projects that reduce wildfire risk and help communities become more fire-adapted. Eligible activities span hazardous fuels treatments on federal and adjacent non-federal land, fire education and training programs, Community Wildfire Protection Plans and wildfire risk assessments, and long-term monitoring and maintenance planning for fuels reduction work. Projects should demonstrate a clear public benefit and an indirect benefit to BLM's conservation mission, and applicants are encouraged to build in partnerships with local governments, tribes, or community organizations.

FY26 Bureau of Land Management Invasive and Noxious Plant Management - Bureau wide

The BLM's FY26 Invasive and Noxious Plant Management opportunity supports projects that prevent, detect, control, and monitor weed populations on public lands to protect native plant communities, wildlife habitat, and watershed health. Eligible activities span invasive species inventories and treatments, Early Detection Rapid Response efforts, integrated pest management planning, post-treatment monitoring, biological control agent development, and public education/outreach programs. Projects should demonstrate a clear public benefit and support BLM's conservation priorities, with strong consideration given to proposals that build multi-jurisdictional partnerships and leverage shared resources with state, tribal, or local partners.
Please note the following restrictions: Arizona, California, Eastern States, Idaho, Montana/Dakotas, Utah, The National Interagency Fire Center (NIFC) and the National Operations Center (NOC) will not be accepting applications under this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).

FY26 Bureau of Land Management Forest and Woodlands Resource Management - Bureau Wide

Priority activities under this announcement include projects that support Executive Order (EO) 14225 Immediate Expansion of American Timber Production and Section 50301 of The One Big Beautiful Bill. This program focuses on activities that promote forest and woodland health, sustainable forest management, fire resiliency, biomass utilization for bioenergy, habitat conservation needs, and insect, disease and fire recovery on public lands. These activities could include, but are not limited to: planting trees, pre-commercial and commercial thinning, salvage/sanitation harvest, control of competing vegetation, fuels reduction, project development and layout, planning analysis and document preparation needed in concert with or to carry out NEPA, and Endangered Species Act or cultural clearances.

The Bureau of Land Management’s Plant Conservation and Restoration Program (PCRP) is a national leader in building the native seed supply chain essential for restoring resilient public lands and supporting multiple use and sustained yield. PCRP advances Department of the Interior mission to protect and manage America's natural resources. The native seed PCRP adds to the commercial market enables rapid recovery following wildfire, hurricanes, and other natural disasters; can be used by proponents to help satisfy revegetation requirements for energy and infrastructure projects; and helps farmers and creates jobs by expanding market access for small producers. A core mission of PCRP is to grow the national native seed supply chain through partnerships with eligible state, tribal, academic, and non-governmental organizations. Reliable native seed supplies are critical to improving rangeland health, restoring wildlife habitat and migration corridors, reclaiming mined and timber-harvested lands, and reducing invasive species. Expanding this pipeline lowers seed costs, reduces producer risk, creates American jobs, and ensures long-term project success with durable vegetative establishment.

Plant Protection Act Section 7721 Plant Pest and Disease Management and Disaster Prevention Program (PPDMDPP)
Funding Opportunity: USDA-APHIS-10031-PPQ-PPDMDPP-2027
Deadline: September 21, 2026
This funding opportunity is provided to carry out the provisions described in Section 7721 of the Plant Protection Act. Through the PPA 7721 program, APHIS provides funds to support projects that protect specialty crops, nursery systems, forestry, other agricultural production systems, and natural resources from harmful and invasive plant pests and pathogens. PPDMDPP funds projects focused on critical needs and opportunities to prevent against, detect, and mitigate invasive plant pests and diseases.
